Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology (MVIT) is a self-financing technical institute that was started in 2008. It is one of the top 3 engineering colleges affiliated to Pondicherry University. MVIT offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and management.
The engineering students at MVIT are trained to participate in national level competitions like Smart India Hackathon, Codevita, and Encode. The Department of Management Studies offers an MBA program that is one of the best in the region.
The “Techipeidia” team from MVIT won first prize in the Smart India Hackathon 2019.
