Deemed an ‘institute of national importance’, the 100-acre IIIT campus is located in Prayagraj’s Jhalwa area, about 7 kilometres from the city airport. Offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in various disciplines, the institute’s on-campus infrastructure includes several computer centres and laboratories, lecture halls, a well-stocked central library with access to print and digital resources, and office space for research scholars. Non-academic infrastructure includes residences for faculty members, an indoor auditorium, a sports pavilion with facilities for indoor and outdoor sports as well as a health centre and a shopping complex. In terms of placements, the institute says its graduates have been recruited by firms like Accenture, Adobe, Apple, Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Cisco and Sony, among many others.
