This deemed university is located on Chennai’s Old Mahabalipuram Road, about 30 kilometres from Chennai International Airport. Offering undergraduate, postgraduate, research and distance learning programmes, the institute’s on-campus infrastructure includes hostels for male and female students, a canteen and fast-food centre, a medical clinic, an entrepreneurship cell and transport facilities to and from the city. Academic infrastructure includes a well-stocked central library (with departments also having their own libraries) and several laboratories under the various departments, apart from classrooms, seminar halls and the like.
