About Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Formerly the Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, the university campus is located in Kanpur’s Nawabganj area, about 10 kilometres from Kanpur Central Railway Station. It comprises a number of faculties, including the school of engineering, the school of chemical technology, the school of basic and applied sciences and the school of humanities and social sciences. Offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in several streams, the university’s common infrastructure includes a central workshop, a well-stocked central library, a computer centre and hostels for male and female students. The campus also has a gymnasium equipped for various sports, an auditorium and a health centre.
