Formerly the Delhi College of Engineering, the institute sprawls across a 164-acre campus on Bawana Road near New Delhi’s Rohini Sector 17. One of India’s top engineering universities, it offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes in several disciplines, including applied chemistry, mathematics and physics, biotechnology and civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. It has significant on-campus infrastructure, including a central library, several department libraries, a centralised computer centre with many Wi-Fi access points spread across the campus and housing for faculty and for male and female students. The campus also has a large, well-equipped gymnasium, several fields/ courts/ facilities for indoor and outdoor sports and a medical centre with a hospital block.
