One of India’s top engineering institutes, the BITS Pilani campus sprawls over 328 acres in northeast Rajasthan, about 200 km from New Delhi. Set up in collaboration with MIT (the Massachusetts Institute of Technology), the institute offers bachelor’s and master’s programmes in various disciplines, as well as on-campus, off-campus and part-time PhD programmes. The institute also hosts several R&D centres for various initiatives, including business incubation, software development, robotics, and so on. On-campus infrastructure includes several hostels for male and female students (the institute is fully residential, with day scholars allowed only in exceptional circumstances), a massive library complex and several sports facilities, including a gymnasium and a swimming pool.
