The Amity Foundation, a non-profit organisation, founded the tenth university campus, Amity University in Kolkata. Amity University Kolkata was founded under the West Bengal Act, XXIV of 2014, passed by the Legislative Assembly of the Govt. of West Bengal in 2014.
