Amity University Patna was established under the Bihar Private Universities Act, 2013, and it officially came into existence on 23rd August 2017, following a gazette notification. 

The University is sponsored by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF), a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Act 1860. RBEF, is the umbrella body for all Amity institutions.

Amity University Patna plays a crucial role in the development of society by producing skilled professionals and contributing to research advancements. It also serves as a centre for recreational and cultural events, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.

The University currently functions from its interim Campus at Rupaspur, Bailey Road, Patna from the leased premises. The campus is dedicated to the superlative development of students.
